Interested in the emotional toll of the news cycle, I pitched, reported, and helped produce a profile of someone else who breathes that cycle—an amateur investigator who tracked every move of the Trump administration for an online audience.

After an executive tried to kill what I thought was the most riveting look at fascism VICE had filmed since Charlottesville, I worked with the team to rewrite the script to eradicate the executive’s concern—that we were giving QAnon yet another platform. Proud of the edit, which calls out fascism and misinformation in ways that are clear and fair.

I drew on my knowledge as a reporter in New Orleans to find the characters for this charming little piece, which swerves away from cliches about the city to get real. Senior produced.

Had a blast using my experience living in China to edit documentary scripts on the country, and this one hit over 6M views on social, perhaps because the producer and I giggled endlessly after we realized we could structure the piece to mirror fables about witches.

Poured my experience covering the pandemic into editing scripts to bring home the most terrifying footage we had seen so far. Our team was nominated for a 2021 Emmy for Outstanding Continuing News Coverage: Short Form.

I edited the script for this 20-minute special, working with various teams remotely on a tight deadline. Nominated for two 2021 Emmys and on the shortlist for a Grierson Award for Current Affairs Documentary.

I pulled on my experience living in Hong Kong to edit what became a series of news pieces covering the protests as they escalated. An emotional roller coaster with an incredibly talented team. We were later nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Continuing Coverage of a News Story in a Newscast.

Had fun becoming a food writer to work on the VICE show “Counter Space.” I edited this script with its producer, and wrote introductions with the host.
